     The garden started in 2012 as a bare grassy paddock with a few scattered eucalypts and tea trees. Over the following decade the garden has evolved, with the creation of a beautiful rose garden, perennial border, a large native garden, a cutting garden, arbours, paths, an orchard, ponds, many shrubs, ornamental trees and other areas. There are places to sit and enjoy the magnificent view from different perspectives. The garden is full of interesting and beautiful plants that suit the cool climate with long, frosty winters, and is home to native birds and other wildlife including the local grey kangaroos. Through the seasons the garden changes but is always impressive. In spring hundreds of bulbs are flowering, as well as blossom trees, viburnums, rhododendrons, clematis and lavenders. Then the roses start to bloom, peaking in late November and December. In late summer many of the perennials are the focus. By autumn the colours of the deciduous trees start to turn, there are still many roses blooming and the camellias start to come out. During winter the bare structure of the garden is more visible, and early bulbs such as snowdrops and crocus start to flower. Being in the mountains there are often misty mornings, and the view of the escarpment is a constantly changing backdrop. The garden contains many areas to wander peacefully, or sit and soak up the healing power of the plants and beauty of the surroundings.
